In early January, Casey’s daughter, Monica, along with Houweling’s team member Tara Tashiro, had the opportunity to visit Tactic, Guatemala, the site of Houweling’s Seeds of Tomorrow project. At the same speed 2012 ended, the new year is flying by! From a business perspective, our locally grown tomatoes are in demand, as consumers continue to increase the value they put on local produce. While our tomato growing focus is local, thanks to some of our international partners, the Seeds of Tomorrow Project Guatemala Greenhouse is in production.

Well, I guess this blog is the ceremonial first seedling of our Guatemala Project as I can announce we have formally commenced our fundraising efforts and dubbed the program the “Seeds of Tomorrow Project”.
