This past week the excitement of planning a project such as Houweling’s Tomatoes sustainable greenhouse farm in Utah, got put into high gear as we are now under construction! As you can see from the pictures included, crews have begun the process of levelling the land where our 28.3 acre greenhouse will be built through the summer.

The October issue of “The Vine” celebrates the installation of the final of our three Con-Gen engines. The project, like many that blaze a new trail, was not without its challenges but this September we installed the final of our three Con-Gen engines to support our 125 acres of California growing area. As May 2013 came to a close, our “Seeds of Tomorrow” project began its seven week process to construct a seedling greenhouse for the community of Tactic. As employees from both Kubo Greenhouse Projects and Houweling’s Tomatoes flew down, we were greeted by bright faced Guatemalans eager to meet the strange people from Holland, Canada and the United States that were donating their time, money and sweat to help the community of Tactic.… Read more
